FAQs of Monocular Metallurgical Microscope:

Q: How does the microscope maintain stability during use?

A: The microscope features a heavy-duty cast iron base that minimizes vibrations, ensuring stable and precise observation even during intense sample study or manipulation.

Q: What is the magnification range and how is it achieved?

A: Utilizing interchangeable wide-field eyepieces (WF10x) and achromatic objectives (10x, 40x SL, 100x SL oil), the microscope offers a magnification range from 100x up to 1000x, allowing flexible examination of various metallurgical specimens.

Q: When is this microscope typically used in industrial and research settings?

A: The instrument is primarily employed for metallurgical analysis in laboratories, quality control facilities, research organizations, and educational institutions to inspect metal grain, phases, and surface structures.

Q: Where can samples be positioned on this microscope, and what is the maximum sample height?

A: Samples are placed on the rectangular mechanical stage, which accommodates specimens up to 30mm in height. The stage allows X-Y movement (70mm x 30mm) for precise area selection during analysis.

Q: What process does the microscope use to examine metallic samples?

A: The microscope uses reflected light microscopy, where incident light from a built-in halogen lamp illuminates the samples surface, enhancing visibility of metallurgical features without requiring transparency.

Q: How is the focus adjusted and what precision can be achieved?

A: Focusing is managed by mechanical coarse and fine adjustment controls. The fine adjustment offers precision up to 0.002mm, allowing for exceptional detail and sharpness during inspection.

Q: What are the benefits of the included accessories and robust build?

A: Accessories such as a dust cover, lens cleaning paper, and instruction manual facilitate upkeep, while the robust metal body and anti-fungal coated optics ensure long-term, reliable operation even in demanding environments.
