The Outer case is Mild Steel painted in Epoxy Powder Coating. The Vacuum chamber is robust Stainless Steel supplied with two stainless steel shelves. The chamber is heated by large area heaters strapped to its outer surface and insulated with super fine mineral wool .The chamber is closed by a thick toughned glass plate sealing into a  neoprene rubber gasket. The door closure is single screw threaded catch. This system provides excellent vacuum performance, a low outer surface temperature and operator safety in the unlikely event of the glass inner door breaking.

Vacuum Controls: One diaphragm valve and a vacuum gauge are provided. The valves which are intended for vacuum connection and the admission of either dry air or inert atmosphere have their nozzle conveniently located. The Oven can be operated at any pressure less than atmospheric. Oven temperature is controlled by Electronic Digital Temperature Indicator-Cum-Controller in the range 50 °C to 130 °C +/- 1 °C . An indicator lamp shows the operation of the heater.
